Note – “American Pewter with Burroughs” is a series of lithographs created by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles, as a collaboration between Rauschenberg and the Beat author William Burroughs. Organised by Sid Felson, one of the founders of Gemini. Burroughs provided the text/poem that Rauschenberg incorporated into the work by embossing to create a raised relief. The series comprises a suite of six, published by Gemini G.E.L., Los Angeles.
